 Process - While wanting to incorporate a portrait and death, I put a skull under the skin of the face. This piece  itself is just to represent the inevitable fact of death itself, its something we cannot escape. Thats why there is a sunset, nighttime will come no matter what. The crow in the back also reprsents the coming of death on the tree above the grave.  Again this isnt the final piece and is just block coloring and shading but it due to change a little to display my concept more Materials: Procreate

Materials: Digital Art, Procreate Process: Started w/ a mindmap and expanded my ideas. My ideas became very boad and so I narroed down the related ideas to my SI. From there I added my mibd map and started to study the styles of Johannes Vermeer for his beautiful brush strokes and the way he captures the natural light. The skull study to there to represent death and the eyes are just a study of the Renaissance style.  Ideas: Light & Shading, Realism, Contrast, Color palletes. Combing all these ideas to display my SI
