It’s a stained glass window, half day and night with two different flowers meaning two different things. The rose means life and the spider lily means death. The hand on the right in the sunlight is supposed to be reaching out to the hand on the left. This is supposed to symbolize saving human lives.  I may go back and turn the hand on the left into a skeleton hand and make the left side of the stained glass window a little more detailed. Smoking and world polution. Colors of orange background supposed to clash with blue plant. Since smoking hurts us individually and C02 harms the planet as a whole. The cigarette is a smoke stack and the skull is visible in all the smoke shes blowing.

\ So I decided to completely scrap my old piece but I still kept the idea of loneliness and isolation. So you have one lone girl looking sad to the left. She has a somber expression and has no color. The lack of color is supposed to represent the lack of emotion and how this fact isolates her. The other girls on the right have a little but of color but are still pale. Their eyes ate colored out and blurred because their emotions are not understood by the woman on the left. This piece is very personal to me because this is what I looked like at prom last year in a depressed state, shes looking off into the distance wondering what her life is for. Im playing with the color pallete and contrast to give off an ominous feeling because right now its not too obvious  Procreate Sketch, Base colors, basic shading, color ideas  

 Doing her makeup in he mirror because shes obsessed with beauty but in return is putting stuff on her face that could kill her. The wilting rose, crow reflection, makeup logos, and blacked out eye help to convey the message. Process: Sketch, base coloring, rendering, detials, final lighting Materials: Procreate

  In this piece, a woman is putting on makeup that has dangerous chemicals in its ingredients. This piece is supposed to display the obsession with beauty that pushes her towards something that is dangerous. The symbols on the makeup palletes are actually chemical compounds found in makeup that are dangerous. The crow in the mirror is a symbol of death and this unhealthy obsession. There’s a wilting rose on the vanity. I’m going to play with the expression and color palette a little bit. Process: Sketch, and base coloring. Currently Rendering  Material - Procreate, digital

 My final piece definitely has some differences compared to the initial proposal. His pose is more relaxed, the background is simplified to focus in the subject and he is only holding one item, a skull, instead of an orb and scepter. The king is looking down at the skulk with a solemn expression. But he is still chained to reality. I might go back and add some more to the chains to display that idea better. Like the raven us missing from this piece and he was originally going to be present. I just didnt know where I wanted to put him.
