This piece is supposed to be romantic in a dark kind of way. I tried to make her falling graceful in a shining light but into deaths arm. She’s in a wedding dress to represent love and her bond. The grim reaper is holding out his arms to her. This piece is supposed to represent how love can become and unhealthy obsession that causes us to deadly and irrational things that kill us. There are still a few small detials I wanna clean up but I think the overall image reads well. Process: Anatomical Sketch, Background, Base Coloring, Rendering, Shading Materials: Procreate

 So again, I decided to take a drastically different approach on the final version and I am tremendously happy that I did. I’ll talk about the meaning and then the composition. This piece is supposed to represent human’s incapability to understand everything and how we slowly bleed out from this obsession of trying to understand everything. So your immediate attention should be the iris. If not, and it’s the bright red blood, it will lead you to the iris, as it’s all connected. The pupil is also a black hole that has been cut by a bleeding wound. The black hole is there to represent our lack of understanding in the universe as blackholes are also very mysterious. The blood cut is in the black hole to represent our attempt to understand it but as we do so we also harm ourselves as we have lost countless lives trying to study space.   Its not too clear now because nothing is fleshed out, its just my base for all details to come. The idea is how people see the world who have been broken. Divided through hate and love, the crack will split the two ideas in the iris. The tear running down will probably turn into some sort of symbol of how this conflict slowly kills us internally and in society as a whole. Still, fleshing out the idea though.
