Final
This piece is supposed to be simple but heavily tie back to my investigation as the original idea is everyone is drunk on something to push on in life but eventually it becomes a deadly. The hand in the picture is quite literally reaching for another drink and is drunk on alcohol. The over consumption of Alcohol has ruined a lot of peoples lives.
Process - sketch, base colors, rendering, shading, final details, still need to fix the ice
Materials - Procreate
I think this is ok, a good idea and the ice looks great, but the sharp lines on the glass are too strong and anatomically the hand needs help (Thumb is larger in the middle for example.) It looks like you rushed this one. Your portfolio will only be as strong as your weakest piece, I always heard in art school. I say this to you, and not everyone, because your other pieces are so strong. Finish strong! Don't lose focus, take more time :)
ReplyDeleteAlso these are depiction. We don't have a personal feeling of you in the art. Why is it important to you? Help us know the answer not only in your writing but in your art. Maybe show the "why" of your struggle, why it's important to you personally.
ReplyDeleteI meant depictions. The difference in a 3 or 4 or a 4 and a 5 will be to not just narrate a story but make it synthesize, through experimentation, to a new place. This is the time for a crescendo piece, a climax of tension in your story/body of work.
